Mums in Mind Psychology
Perinatal psychology support for mums in Melbourne
Let’s focus on the connection, not on the rules.
There is so much pressure heaped on being a mother these days—and so many ‘resources’ that just add to the mental load.
If you’re feeling worried, anxious, overwhelmed, frustrated, or like you’re just missing something, please know this is very common and you are not alone. Your feelings are valid.
My job is to help you to remove the guilt and be kind to yourself, so you can create a beautiful connection with your little one and enjoy your journey into motherhood.
Hi, I’m Taisia.
I’m a clinical psychologist with a special interest in antenatal and postnatal care for new mothers. I’m also a mum of three, so I deeply understand what you are experiencing.
I never want you to feel like you have to do this alone. Whatever stage you’re in, I offer judgment-free support and guidance, helping you to remove the guilt and giving you the tools to enjoy these special early years.
Supportive psychology sessions, online or in my clinic
I offer one-on-one psychology sessions either in my clinic in Coburg, Melbourne or through video. It can be very hard to leave home with young children and babies. This way you can easily access online mental health care and support in your own space, while your baby is feeding or your toddler is napping or playing near you. You can even be in your pyjamas if you like. I use a compassion-first approach, so you will feel supported and cared-for as we work through the feelings you are experiencing.
You’re going through one of the biggest changes of your life, preparing for birth and parenthood and learning to manage all the physical and emotional challenges that come with pregnancy.
This can be a very challenging time—adjusting to your new identity as mother, while healing from birth, caring for a new tiny person, and learning to cope with an infant’s many needs on very little sleep.
This is for mums of slightly older children—I can support you whether you’re adjusting to life as a mum-of-two or learning to manage those big toddler emotions (and your own emotions that may come along with them).
I would love to meet you so we can get started.
